Mozzarella Sandwich


What appliances do you need?

  • FRITEL SW 1450 - Sandwich Maker

  • FRITEL BL 3170 - Blender 


Toast Mozzarella:

  • Buffalo mozzarella

  • Tomatoes

  • Parma ham

  • White toast bread

    Green pesto:

  • 100 gr. parmigiano

  • 100 gr. pecorino

  • 2 bushes of basil

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • Olive oil (20 % virgin - 80 % soft) (use more virgin to get a spicier pesto)

  • Salt and pepper


Preparation green pesto:

  • Chop the parmigiano and pecorino in the FRITEL chopper

  • Add half of the oil, basil, garlic and some salt and pepper

  • Chop carefully

  • Now taste and season with the rest of the basil and the garlic

  • Chop once more

  • Then add the rest of the olive oil until you have a solid mass. The pesto cannot be too liquid. V

  • Let the pesto a few hours in the fridge.

Preparation Mozzarella sandwich:

  • Carefully drain the liquid from the buffalo mozzarella and cut some thin slices

  • Slice the tomatoes

  • Heat up your FRITEL SW 1450.

  • Spread some pesto on 2 slices of toast bread.

  • Add Parma ham, mozzarella and tomatoes to the lower slice of bread.

  • Close with the upper slice of bread and press firmly.

  • Grease the baking plates of the SW 1450 with some melted butter.  
    Tip: use the FRITEL Silicone brush with reservoir.

  • Insert the sandwich in the appliance and close.  

  • Don’t grill the sandwich for too long, otherwise the cheese will come out.
