Pancakes with bacon and cheese


What appliances do you need?

  • Kitchen scale
  • FRITEL waffle maker + pancake plates
  • FRITEL Combi Mixer with beaters


  • 250 gr. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 80 gr. butter (melted)
  • ½ L milk
  • 200 gr bacon strips
  • 200 gr. half hard cheese in strips (f.ex.. Passendale, Loo, Père Joseph)


  • Take your FRITEL combi Mixer and mix flour, egg yolks, salt, butter and milk until you have a smooth mixture. In the meantime, bake the bacon strips in a pan. Add these to the mixture, together with the cheese.
  • Whisk the egg whites with the FRITEL Combi Mixer and add carefully to the mixture. 
  • Take your FRITEL waffle maker, insert the pancake baking plates and heat it up. Depending on the dough and on personal preference you’ll have to choose a different temperature. This will also affect the baking time.  
  • Serve these pancakes with chive and sour crème. 
  • Recommended baking time: ca. 3,5 to 4 min. on position 6
  • Make sure the ingredients are at room temperature. 
  • Before you start baking, it is recommended to put some oil on your baking plates, even though you have non stick coating. 
  • For lump free dough it is recommended to sieve the flour.
